The Berlinale VIP Club is characterized by the sensuous experience of various materials, colours and forms. Through the unconventional use of classic and new materials, accentuated through purposeful lighting, one experiences these as atmospherically perspicuous elements within the space. The combination of natural grass growing on the tables, vertical panels clad with Riverstone tiles, copper-coloured, semitransparent curtains lit from behind, the Moonlight globes and red drapes of the entrance corridor – a subtle reference to the “red carpet” – create the unique atmosphere of the 2005 Berlinale VIP Lounge.
