In light of the futuristic photographs with the new protective-tube luminaires for the architectural illumination being reported on here, it would be very difficult for any observer to suppress an association with science-fiction films. The new product solutions shown by the company Waldmann Lichttechnik at the recent light + building trade show, however, were anything but futuristic dreams. Indeed: these innovative light-deflection technologies and functional luminaire design offer practical and efficient solutions for builders, owners, planners, and users.
